I invite you to intentionally connect as we gather virtually on this bright and beautiful Monday morning in the parking lot of my office on US40 in Plainfield. We fill the lot and are turned toward this historic National Road that runs so far to the east and to the west. Today I particularly honor this road that holds so much of our precious Indiana history. Let us stand strong in the knowing that goodness prevails and send hope out to those that are weary. Feel the growing of our energy and how it finds its way to the perfect people and places. Thank you.
If you can see the expanse of the colors of spring, breathe them in to comfort you and breathe them out to comfort others. Some can't see them for they are living with lenses that blind them to the beauty. Filling the web of life with the richness of these new creations heals us all. It is as easy as our breath.
Meandering through my mind this morning is what we each do to bring healing to our lives. This is our medicine. What is yours? Mine is writing. It is my way home to me. It leads me through tight places to the land of the free and the home of the brave. It restores my faith in simple things like sweet giggles, happy flowers, the scamper of a squirrel, the light in your eyes, the breath of another on my skin, good food, walks in the woods, and the crunch of an apple. It helps me separate fact from fiction, fantasy from real. It delivers me from upside down to standing straight. When I'm living from my Core, my true north, pain is gone and freedom reigns. Even when I'm without paper, the pen of my mind runs from left to right sorting and straightening my journey. It is my best friend, my sounding board that helps me shake off the old and overdue and to welcome the new and fresh. It leads me to the waters of my creativity and clarity and overrides confusion and chaos. It shows me the highest path and the next step to get there. What is your Medicine? What is it that brings you to peace quicker than anything else? Is it the heartbeat of the drum? Is it our Earth Mother? Is it a drive down a country lane? What about sharing your soul with a friend, a spiritual mentor, or a life coach that listens without judgment and with the presence of unconditional love? What is it that brings you to your truth and into the right here, right now? That is your Medicine.
Our power lies in the present. When we are with what is, we notice the depth of life like the little girl with her contagious smile pressed out the car window and into the wind. We notice campfires in backyards with families around a circle that never ends. We notice the man with a big smile walking down the street with two cotton candies in his hand, one blue and one pink and we imagine the children's eyes when they see the treat. We can jump from those places of glee to places of judgment by wondering if the little girl is safe with her face exposed on such a cold day or we can fear the impact of the sugary candy on the children's health but why? Can't we just be with the joy, love, and peace that is always present? We ruin it with our doubting of the process of life. When we stay with the present, we see that all is perfect just as it is. That image of all is right is what expands out and creates the next image and then the next. It can be as simple as that.
Lately lights have been showing up even more in people's eyes as they find their settling place of so much peace. It is one of my greatest pleasures to see someone find their Core and live from there. I have seen that light from within come on a thousand times and witnessing it never grows old. I know it well and can sense its coming and I know how to sit back and let it rise unassisted. When it comes, there are tale tale signs and often they say 'This is what you have been talking about for so long.' That brings me to silence and all I can do is nod my head and clap my hands. Once we feel that feeling of connectedness with ourselves and others and the web of life, there is no turning back to lost. We have found ourselves and in the finding, we have come home. It is as simple as that.
Knowing Now is what we are aiming for. Love it all. Trust it all. The next steps will unfold in a beautiful tapestry that will create heaven on earth. We are so close. Let crumble what may. On the other side is such pleasure and worth the wait. Enjoy the journey.
With peace and gratitude for your presence in my life,
Dane
