In the Woods

Laughter spilled out from the woods and into the garden as a friend and I worked together to build a gathering place out of the willow from a downed tree. As I drove home happy and clear from an evening of play, work, and laughter, I was reminded of my time this spring of living outside and this quote by Henry David Thoreau:

"One attraction in coming to the woods to live was that I should have leisure and opportunity to see the spring come in."
