Are You Nesting?

Baking was my way of being Saturday as fruit & nut muffins, banana bread and oatmeal cookies went in and out of the oven & aromas of Autumn filled the air. There's nothing like the recipes from a well-used cookbook full of stains of butter & cinnamon to arouse the seasonal senses. Agree? Instead of catering yesterday's Grand Re-Opening, I decided to do the baking myself & I'm so glad I did. Adding love & goodness to those treats for those that came brought smiles all weekend long. Thank you to all of you that called, texted, emailed & came. May bountiful blessings continue to come your way.
Nesting is what is on my mind & in my heart on this chilly morning. My ways of nestling in for the seasons ahead include all that I deem feminine: putting the cozy comforters & furry throws in place; filling home with the scents of nurturing; repotting the herbs & making way for them in the windowsills; fillling the freezer from the bountiful harvest; turning on lamps; lighting candles; making way for love.

What does nesting bring to mind for you? Whether you are man or woman, what aspects of you come more into being this time of year?

Our environments are so important & as we look ahead to the season of winter which is a time for planning the seeds of our lives in our minds, I invite you to look around at what is around you. What ways do you want to prepare your space for wide open space of body, mind & spirit during the colder months? Whether through Feng Shui or clutter clearing coaching (or the internal work of energy & clearing), I am here to help you create a home haven.

Simple Ways to Align with Autumn:

create a harvest altar in your home to hold symbols of all that you are thankful for (mark your calendar for the annual Gratitude Ceremony on Thursday, November 3. See details below)

visit a festival at a local orchard and enjoy the fresh-pressed cider

play in the leaves as you rake them

gather family together for a celebration

create flavorful dishes from the rich harvest

enjoy the changing colors and crunchiness of the leaves

I'm here to hear you & to help you hear yourself so your mind, body & spirit feel warm & cozy all season long.

Autumn Riches,

Dane
