How to Survice a Shake-Up
Shaky foundations seem to be everywhere as what we once knew turns into the new. Are you feeling the shaky & the steady & able to easily flow between the two? I hope so. If not, there are simple suggestions below.
We all know some days are easier than others & our sense of peace shifts as they shift. We are all being invited more into middle ground even though it can feel like we are being pulled to the limits of outer opposities. For example, I grounded to the external (job, money, man, children, home) until the mid-90s & then learned how to ground within which sure made life easier & steadier. We all need to go through that process of Core centering so no matter what changes on the outside, we stay steady inside.
Now, I'm playing with balancing the internal & external centering. When our Core is solid, we can appreciate the conscious centering of self to something or someone external without attachment to its constancy. For example, yesterday was a Harley day & the view you see above was my view. Big changes have been happening all around me & I needed to feel the hum of the bike & his back. My butterfly being comes into center with his solid self. Trusting him frees me to lay my head back & to watch the clouds go by or to watch the wide open fields & occasional animal . . . to be the bird or the butterfly & to know he has me. I'm safe.
Some don't feel safe on a motorcyle. Ok. Some don't trust anybody completely. Ok. If we trust life, it overrides all other senses & delivers safe. That's what I invite you to sit with this week: your sense of safety & your trusting of yourself, others & life.
Here are 4 simple steps to steady the shaky:
1) Make a list of what helps you feel grounded. Here are a few examples: sitting in silence & paying attention to your breath with feet on the ground; holding hands; walking in nature. Integrate these into your life this week.
2) Talk with someone you trust about your level of trust of self, others & life. Shift it at least 10% so you trust more.
3) Expand your level of comfort in asking for what you want & need. How does it feel to be vulnerable? Trust your safe to expand at least 10%.
4) If you're feeling shaky, click "Reply" & enter "Yes" in the subject line & you will be registered for tonight's (August 13th, 2012) Core Class Overview. I promise you will walk away with more CALM, CLARITY, COMFORT & CONFIDENCE.
P.S. Doesn't he have great hair? : )
