Step 2: Reclaim Your Innocence

Tragedy, like the one of the wee ones that we witnessed last week, can rock our world & our belief system. This is Step 2 of 5 steps I’m offering leading up to 12/21/12. My intention is to share spiritual & practical processes to support you in moving from tragedy to trust & truth. Step 2 Reclaim Your Child-Like Innocence The opposites of dark & light met & we were shown the extremes of lost light & innocence. It struck our Core chords because we mourn our loss of innocence. Look within your feelings for insight into your own pain, loss & fear. Retrace your early steps affirming your beautiful innocence; your God-given right for unconditional love & nurturance; & how you were & weren’t seen; heard; valued; appreciated & loved. Heal that which is broken. Move beyond your childhood wounds into your child-like innocence. 1) Turn off the television now; sit in the silence & listen to your Core self. Please have support with you if you don’t want to handle the feelings alone. Much can (& needs to) come up in our silent sitting. It is ok to not know; to not have the answers. Stick with your process & the path will unfold. 2) Journaling will heal loose threads of wounded self. Share what you’re experiencing with a trusted soul via phone or in-person. Let the healing happen. Do not judge your experience as right or wrong. It is uniquely yours. 3) Color in a coloring book with fine lines; allow yourself to go outside of the lines & to color within . . . following your rhythm of child to adult. Display your art. 4) Watch your favorite childhood movie or read a Fairy Tale with family or friends. Pop popcorn; throw in some milk chocolate M & Ms as a melty; salty treat. What other childhood happenings bring your memory comfort? Give them to yourself this week. Non-knowing welcomes trust. Non-judgment welcomes truth.

Step 1: Seek Spiritual/Symbolic Sight

5 Steps to Trust & Truth Tragedy, like the one of the wee ones that we witnessed last week, can rock our world & our belief system. Over the next 5 days leading up to 12/21/12, I will share spiritual & practical processes to move from tragedy to trust & truth. Step 1 Seek Spiritual/Symbolic Sight The opposites of dark & light met & we were shown the extremes of lost light & innocence. It struck our Core chords because we mourn our loss of innocence. The unfortunate tragedy re-awakened our original innocence. Be reminded & remind others that the dark may relish temporary upheaval but that good & light always prevail. It is not in our denial of evil that we garner strength. It is the acceptance that the Light expresses as dark sometimes out of wounded fear. We must live within the mystery of non-knowing even though we cry out for understanding. Non-knowing welcomes trust. Non-judgment welcomes truth. 1) Pay sharp attention to the moon as she grows from her 12/13 newness into her 12/28 fullness & the sun as he slows the darkening days this week for the return of the light beginning at the 12/21 Winter Solstice. 2) Reflect on your own inner & outer “evil” recognizing that “evil” is backwards “live” & that “devil” is “lived” backwards. Perhaps anything that takes away any form of pure life is dark. Live Your Light; Your Truth. 3) Stay away from judgment of self & others. Become vigilant of your projections & purify thoughts, words, actions, energy & emotions. 4) Sit down with a friend or Life Coach or take pen & paper & give voice to your emotions. Let your “energy in motion” have their journey & peace will prevail in the aftermath.
