Letting Go of the Need to Know

Monday Morning Meandering
As our circle gathers today with hot cups of tea cradled in our hands, let us remember that there is a thread of mystery that runs through the tapesty of life. It is golden silk that adds shimmer to the design if we let it. Reaching out to that place of knowing can delight or stifle depending upon how much we grasp at it. Appreciating the mystery and letting go of the need to know frees us.

We all seek clarity to some degree and clarity comes. Certainty, though, can be elusive. Life is too fluid and filled with free will to be locked in certainty. Let us aim for clarity of mind and purity of heart in the here and now and let impermanence live.

How do we live this in the daily details of our lives?

1) Deepen the breath with each inhale and each exhale, breathing out the negative and breathing in the positive
2) Become more aware of the wisdom of our bodies and trust our inner knowledge
3) Smile
4) Write it Out. Putting pencil to paper sorts out our reality.
5) Talk it Through. Having an objective person, like a counselor or life coach, listen to you and witness your process can be powerful and freeing.
6) Affirm 'I am okay.' 'All is well.' 'I trust life/God.' 'I trust myself.' 'I love myself.' 'I love life.'
7) Shift perspective from daily details to big picture to ensure you are seeing both your view and the higher view.
