Holding Hands

We gather today in the large lodge with a fire burning bright. To your level of comfort, take the hand of the one next to you in our circle with the intention of being supported and supporting each other. Welcome. I'm glad you are here.

Can you feel the presence of all of us and how strong we are in our togetherness? Much is shifting under our feet these days and we are gaining incredible strength within the core of each of us. All of us can benefit from the presence of others and I hope you can settle into knowing that you are seen, heard, and valued here. That is one of the many blessings that I celebrate with this sweet community! Below you will see two chances for us to come together in person to form our circle of support. Virtual is good and in person is really, really lovely.

I invite you to walk with me through a story of my night and be present with the symbolism of what I'm saying. It is 3 am and I'm doing yoga on my living room floor. Child's pose is the one that called me from my sleep. I rise from position and see a band of light spilled across the floor. I look up to its source and the moon beckons me to the window. The sky is dark and ominous with its thick clouds but her light penetrates the night. Back and forth she goes into and out of the clouds teasing me with her light for writing. My blanket and pillow transform my big comfy chair into a place for sleeping so that I can see her and she can see me. Her watchful eye brings dreams of spring and gratitude for all that is right here and right now.

Sometimes I resist the still and quiet voice that guides me. I want something different than what it seems to be offering. When it calls in the middle of the night, I'm quick to want sleep instead of action. I'm learning that when I follow this wisdom no matter the time, place, or situation, that what comes out on the other side is lighter, freer, and just right.

Questions to Consider:
Can you hear your inner rhythm calling you?
Are you following this inner voice?
Are you becoming like a child and surrendering into the innocence of the knee to the chest position?
Are you feeling the presence of support?
Do you know deep down inside that everything is okay just as it is?
Are you loving and trusting yourself, others, and life?
Do you want to?

The greatest gift that I can offer you is support in loving and trusting yourself, others, and life. That makes all the difference in thriving through the ebbs and flows of life.
