Lay the Pain Down

My heart is heavy with wondering today and I know I'm not alone. Many are telling me that pain from the past has come back again and that secrets that hurt are revealing themselves. Despite the brilliant sunshine here, pain that is incredibly hard to comprehend has come my way. It isn't new pain, it's old, very old but is showing itself in a new way. It is my belief that pain like this only comes to the forefront when we have all it takes to work with it, to honor it, to release it, to do and be all that is necessary to lay it down. We can walk down many paths of anger, bitterness, misunderstanding, blame but only when we come to a place of acceptance, compassion, and forgiveness, can we truly move beyond it. Below is a process that I intuited for a woman in our circle last week that I found comfort in by using for myself. If it speaks to you, I invite you to be with it to heal what is up for healing in your life.

Lay It Down
Take a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through you mouth. Move into the gentle side of yourself. When you feel tenderness in the right here, right now, imagine that in your arms you hold what is hurting you or causing you confusion. Hold it like a newborn baby with nurturing and compassion and unconditional love. Rock it as you admire its vulnerability with tenderness. When you are ready to release it for good, take this baby and lay it down in a Moses basket in the river of Nile. Cover it symbolically with leaves of green and know that it is protected by the Divine and that all you need to do is to set it free. Know that the river will take it to a better and healing place. You don't have to hold it or struggle to make sense of it anymore. Lay It Down for good.

If you feel that you want support in healing the hurts, I'm here for you.
