Human Angels Everywhere [Inspiration]
It seemed an unlikely place to find a treasure of a person. The vacant Charleston beach was cold & windy but called to me in my corporate attire of suit, high heels & pantyhose. I decided to venture out for a quick look between teaching & airport on that 1995 day & I was richly rewarded for my intuitive hunch.
The odd looking woman with disheveled hair & clothes was walking up the beach with a large trash bag in hand. I smiled at her with the removed look of "I see you but don't get too close. I don't have time." Now that I think about it, I'm guessing I looked as odd to the homeless woman with curled up hoof-like feet as she did to me but she smiled back.
She sat at a shelter house table & from the bag came long pieces of grapevine & nature things. She began her weaving. I watched from afar; pretending I was watching the lapping ocean waves. I wondered if she was without home & wanted to help. In my ego state, it seemed money was my one way to be of service. I approached her & saw the Dream Catchers she was creating & asked if I could buy one. She said "No, but if you sit & talk with me, I will show you how to make your own." So I let go of my attachment to time & sat. In truth, time always bends to allow.
The picture above is one of my prized possessions; the Dream Catcher she helped me to make is a reminder of our tender conversation. She was one of many Human Angels that appeared on my path & I can still remember her crooked teeth; her glimmery eyes. She had a knowing to her that is seldom found even though all of us have it. That knowing is what we talked about at the Apprenticeship Program kick-off yesterday & that is what brought back my vivid memories of her. I don't remember her name; perhaps I never knew but I know her & I feel her aliveness today & am grateful for it.
I invite you this week to meditate upon your teachers & those you have taught. Let the lessons come alive again as we work toward integration; implementation of our greatest teachings.
Always a student; always a teacher,

Break Down the Walls [Inspiration]
Like many of you, I'm preparing for a spring move to a new home. There is an inkling beneath my wings to rise & fly. Whether this means a physical move for you or not, can you feel the inkling for new & different?
In preparation for the move, I began removing the decal pictured above from my living room wall. The '...' & the 'ls' from 'walls ...' came off exceptionally easy & then a pause fell upon me. I noticed that I was symbolically removing walls from my life & my eyes glanced down at the 'laugh;' 'love;' & 'live." I realized then that by removing the decal & being willing to be ready for a new place presented me with a 'beyond the walls' mindset. As I continued, I felt a deep peace & I was prompted to leave the wall for a while like the picture below. Within our Core lives laughter, love & life itself.

Your Calling [Core Article]
Your Calling [Core Article]
Right where you sit or stand right now is right where you are meant to be. Does it feel that way? If so, celebrate. If not, take a symbolic step left to right & feel your Core inkling where to shift your sight. It is typically a small step that alters our view of our calling.
I invite you to join me on the Canyon edge above. Sitting there looking out over the majestic red rock reminded me of the vastness of our life experience & how to be in the moment of our majesty. I had just come away from time with my Navajo teacher & he was guiding me on the travel of time via watching the sun cross the sky. Come & sit beside me & imagine the heat of the Arizona sunshine; the ancient Anasazi ones that once walked Canyon deChelly & what they might wish to whisper in your ear. You are being called. We all are. It is time to hear your calling; to know that we are each here for a divine purpose that begins & ends with unconditionally loving self & others. Spend some time with the image. Imagine my Navajo teacher speaking to you too. His wise words mimic the words we all receive from our teachings. Listen in the ways that are right for you.
Here is a prayer I prayed in the mid-90s when I was opening to my purpose. I return to if often. If you are ready for answers & you're a prayerful person, try it: Dear God, please give me clarity of mind & purity of heart. Help me to see each person as you see them, especially myself. Thank you. Amen.
To Our Highest Calling,

Ocean Call [Core Article]
Last week Greg & I traveled to Central Florida & discovered these stairs that end in the ocean. They called to me & though the water was cool, it called too. Can you feel the ocean calling you? Imagine that you are standing at the top of the steps. See the shallow, clear, calm, cool water inviting you into its healing. The healing salt of the sea connects us back to ourselves. Allow yourself to feel your Core Seed of Self that holds your wise & wonderful. It is time to return to that essence & to our original & natural selves. Symbolically step into the clear & calm water & know that it supports a clear & calm you.
To a Clear, Calm You,
Dane

Let Go. Let In. Light.
Connect to the Light: Let Go. Let In.
There is great movement in the air as we end & begin. Can you feel it? It is symbolized through Christmas Eve & Christmas Day; the birth of Christ; the end of the dark days & the return of the Light via Winter Solstice; & the end of the year & the clean slate of 2013. Sit with me as the story is told.
There is a fire brilliantly glowing as the thrill & anticipation of Christmas Eve fill the air. A stage of completions draws near. Much preparation has gone into creating a festive & warm holiday. The gestating hope & wonder of gifts yet to come instill a sense of awe as Christmas morning draws near. This is a pregnant time of year as we remember the arrival of a baby about to be born. Presents under the tree remain unopened & the stocking on the hearth is not yet filled. It is a time of profound receptivity to higher forces so our intuition is prime. The arrival of Saint Nicholas, the arrival of the son as Christ; & the arrival of the Sun are imminent & yet we are invited to sleep & to surrender to another world of dreams before the magical offerings will come. Expectation abounds. Feel it. Join with it.
This marks a period of life when the divine potential of the future is near. We are reminded to review the year just leaving & to become a storyteller of our lives. The story can only be as conscious as the one who tells it. Bring more presence & consciousness to your days. What new theme, fairy tale, or adventure will you enter into next? As you move into this period of completion, trust in the goodness of what is yet to manifest in your life. A magical gift, a special friendship & new opportunities are on their way.

Step 5: Safe & Solid Self
Step 5: Safe & Solid Self
The words "Earth One/Won" woke me at 6 am. I don't know if they came from within or without or what they mean but I'm feeling great! So far, so good! We are ALIVE! Yes!
Let’s celebrate our Aliveness & Welcome Winter with deep awe & gratitude. Earth life is good!
The fifth & final step to live in Trust & Truth is to settle into your Core; your Safe & Solid Seed of Self. This begins with knowing your Values; Strengths; Needs & Wants & to live in alignment with that knowing with Thoughts; Words & Actions. This foundation of solid & safe naturally prompts trusting of self, others & life & that leads easily to loving it all. When we have that level of safety, we know that “crumble what may; we will be ok.” Oh, the freeing feeling!
Tips for Trust & Truth:
1)Pull yourself back from any tendency toward negativity or unnecessary busyness today & in the days ahead.
2)Know that what is showing itself outside is a reflection of what is happening inside. Shift self & see mirror of life shift.
3)Stay in a state of gratitude for every little thing.
4)Register for the 1/19 Core Class if you want support in knowing, living & loving your Solid & Safe Seed of Self. Click here to register now.

Step 4: Face Fears
Step 4: Face Fears
On this 4th day of spiritual & practical tips to move from Tragedy to Trust & Truth, I invite you to face your fears, especially the fear of death. Big death, like the tragic loss of those at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, bring our own mortality front & center.
The prophecies of 12/21/12 also invite us to face the end of our life &/or our life as we know it. Take the invitation of facing the fear & choose to transcend beyond it into the landscape of love.
As I shared on Facebook, I don’t believe the world is going to end tomorrow but none of us knows for sure. I’m ok if it does end. I am at peace & love my WHOLE LIFE despite its ups & downs & trust LIFE KNOWS WHAT IT IS DOING. Live in the present ...free of past pain & regret. Live as if every day may be the last day.
Wherever fear rises its head, befriend it. Know that it thinks it is helping. Send love to it & to all & love will be the life you live.
Non-knowing welcomes trust. Non-judgment welcomes truth.
